Frequently Asked Questions
Because everybody has questions, here's a list of the questions we get asked most. Including where to buy our books, how to submit to anthologies, and how to get in touch with us.
Where can I buy your books?
You can find us on Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble, and Smashwords. Get direct links by visiting our Shop.
Do you publish in print or just electronically?
Right now we publish ebooks. This may change as we grow.
How do I submit my story?
All stories should be submitted through our Online Submission Manager.
How do I get in touch with you with questions?
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
What's your royalty rate?
Anthologies come with a flat payment rate stated for each call.
We are not currently accepting queries for original works. When we do, authors receive 40% of net sales - net is calculated after printers, distributors, shippers, and retailers take their cut.
What's your average reply time?
Acceptance response times for anthologies vary widely but an expected final response date will be listed on each open call. We try to let writers know if their story has been declined or made the anthology's short list as soon as possible. The submission manager will change your status from submitted to Pending once your story has been read.
Do you accept short stories?
Only if they are in theme and submitted to a currently open anthology call.
Please no simultaneous submissions.
Do you offer opportunities for bloggers/reviewers who have an interest in blogging about/reviewing your newest anthology?
Of course. If you have an interest in posting about Lit Select anthologies, please use this contact form to let us know what you're interest in.
